vintage portraits | calgary photographer

A couple of weeks ago I attended a photography conference in the beautiful town of Banff.  I met some amazing people and got to visit with some wonderful photographer friends as well.  One of the instructors was talking about shooting what you love.  If you could take pictures of anything that you wanted to, what would it be?  For me it is a very difficult question to answer because I love newborns, I love children and I love families!  I thought back to when I first started out.  I had tons of vintage dresses, fairy wings, angel wings and vintagy props.  When I got home I pulled out my box of old props and unearthed my loved vintage dresses.   Through all of the pairing down of photography related props and equipment these dresses survived the cut every time.  That means something right?

I also contacted a couple of girls to help me out with some styling, accessories and pieces of clothing.  Some of these clothes are from My Fair Maiden and others are from a unique Calgary antique store in Inglewood called Pretty Little Things.
