I think, at a child’s birth,
if a mother could ask a
fairy godmother to endow
it with the most useful
gift, that gift would be

I knew when I received a phone call from Dori’s proud firefighter father that this photography session wouldn’t be like any other than I have done. He is obviously a very proud Calgary firefighter! He wanted to show how tiny their new baby girl was by placing her in his fire gear. I was a little nervous but with lots of help from her mom and dad she co-operated just perfectly. Does she look totally adorable or what? :)

safety note: Safety of baby was the number one concern while obtaining this shot.

The first time I met this sweet family it was to photograph their baby girl Nova. That was 16 months ago! You can have a peek at her photos here if you are curious to see just how much she has changed. Look at those sweet little pigtails! This time, it was to photograph her baby brother Vedder. I could tell that Nova really loves him but I’m thinking she may be enjoying her dolls a little bit more. She wraps them, dresses them and puts them in Vedders swing. If he were a little smaller and she was able to pick him up she would probably be doing the same with him. :)

oh my goodness. Such wonders. And that last photo should be framed huge on a wall. Gorgeous.
