Trent and Shannon | calgary maternity portraits
March 15, 2010It is true, in the past I have been a little bit leary of shooting maternity portraits because they didn’t really seem like my style. I was picturing them as an image that needed to be created in the studio on a black backdrop. Over the past couple of years I have changed my way of thinking and now shot 2 of them that seem to be more my fun, relaxed, lifestyle type of maternity portraits. One with Melanie in her home in Cochrane and now this one. I had a great time shooting and hope to do more of it in the future. Pregnant mom’s always look so beautiful and serene… definitely different than Mom’s with children running around all over the place. ;)
Last week I met up with Shannon and Trent to capture this moment for them. They were so fun to shoot and Shannon of course was beautiful! They really made it an easy leap to jump in to maternity photography. I’m hoping that my images suited their vision! I can’t wait to meet their newborn in April.
