This wedding was a union between two families… I love it when that happens.  The girls were wonderful and I could tell they were happy and maybe even excited to become sisters.  It was a small get together a little bit different many of the other weddings I have seen in the past few years.  The day even included a gymnastics competition in the morning, that doesn’t happen very often on the wedding day.  Imagine getting up early for a competition and then running around to have hair and make-up done and then finally slowing down to enjoy your special day.  Priceless.

This last picture needs some explaining…. Karla realized that we had left her bouquet at one of the places we had stopped for pictures.  That wouldn’t normally be super bad but since they hadn’t yet been married she kind of still needed it for the ceremony.  Oops.  Gord, being the gentleman that he is took off running to go look for it.  While he was gone Karla and I had some fun and did some pictures just for her.  This is Karla, looking completely beautiful and Gord as he is running back after being gone for 10 + minutes.  Run Gord, run!  I hope you are feeling relaxed and wonderful after your fantastic honeymoon.

These two little newborns are so perfect and sweet.  Really really sweet.  They have a big brother and a very helpful big sister that love them to bits.  Portraits with newborn twins always take longer than the average session.  Sometimes I wonder if I am taking too long so I asked Jen (their Mom), are you ok for me to keep going?  She said “yes, of course!  I could watch all day.”.  I felt much better after that as Jen sat and watched and had a little break from the chaos I’m sure that goes on in a house with two brand new babies.

They don’t need any more words because the pictures will tell you the story and show their sweetness…

Ok, I’ll admit it.  Blogging is not my strong point.  I love sharing sneak peeks with my clients, don’t get me wrong!  When life gets busy though it is so hard to find the time and keep on top of everything else in business and in life.  My apologies, yet again to those of that are waiting patiently.

Meet Jenn.  Jenn and her Mom called to let me know that they had arrived where we were supposed to meet.  When I got there I saw two other photographers with ginormous lights and well, how shall I put this… a very scantily clad girl.  It was interesting to watch and yet again I realized just how many different styles of photography and ways of doing things there really are.   I hopped out of my vehicle with my camera in hand.  Jenn and her Mom asked if I used equipment like that and I replied “nope”, just me and my camera and sometimes a reflector.  I used to shoot with equipment like that but let’s face it.  I like the freedom.  I like not having to haul around piles of equipment which seemed to stifle my creativity.  It is hard to move on to another location when you know it is going to take you 45 minutes to set up again.  Not me.  Can’t do it.  Hopefully Jenn and her Mom didn’t mind.  ha ha.  Anyway we had fun, Jenn was awesome to work with and we got some great images.  Thanks so much for the wonderful afternoon and good luck with all of your wonderful plans!

I just may have to share a few more later.  I found this cool location while out hunting around for somewhere different.  Jenn seemed to fit in with it just perfectly but I don’t want to spoil it for her by showing too many images here.

Two incredibly lucky little babies grace the blog today.  What could possibly be better than someone to snuggle with for 9 whole months?  Lucas and Cecilia quite obviously loved to be snuggled together and while I was panicking while worrying they would wake each other up they wiggled a little and settled right back to sleep.  So sweet.  I was prepared for a session with lots of waiting and patience and it these two made it so easy.  Mom and Dad were both laid back and that resulted in babies that were calm and quiet.  Perfect.  The bad part?  I barely got any snuggles in for myself.  ha ha.

I had a really hard time choosing which images to blog and since Mom and Dad have already bought the digital files I’m going to blog a few more than usual.  Enjoy these newborn twins… meet Cecilia and Lucas…
