This is one of my favorite little girls “R”. I’ve been taking her pictures since she was a baby, her family lives on our street and she loves to stop by and visit my daughter when they take their walks past our house. The colors outside are beautiful right now and combine them with a sweet family and you get lots of great pictures. Look at “R” dancing in the grass, so sweet. This summer the family had a new baby and I was lucky enough to be chosen for her baby pictures as well. Sometimes I just feel so lucky, or maybe I’m over emotional today because everything is making me cry and I’m definately feeling the love for wonderful families. Here’s a sneak peek for you guys….

I took Katherine and her son Devon downtown 2 weeks ago to do some “out of the ordinary” pictures that would show what they are really about. Always up on the latest of fashion trends these two made the job easy and we got some great shots.

Those who know me as a photographer, know that love to shoot in the late afternoon/early evening in the beautiful light just before the sun goes down. I’ve just discovered that I like the morning too as the light can be just as beautiful. Myself and Melanie were up early on Saturday morning to meet up and do some 2 year portraits of her daughter. I did her daughters first year portraits as well and it was so nice to see her and how she has grown. She had a little nap on the way to the shoot and when I saw her she was less than impressed with being taken from her nap and plunked outside in the crisp morning air. It took a bit of coaxing to break her from her somber attitude and with Melanies help, a few snacks, rocks and chats she brightened right up and this is what we got.

This is officially the start of me keeping up here. I promise to post regularly with new sessions so check back often to see what I’m up to next. It’s like a New Years Resolution except not at New Years and one I will keep.

Last week I had the pleasure of doing portraits of Ryan and Kim and their beautiful daughter A. I was really excited as I chatted on the phone with Kim ahead of time and threw out some ideas I had in my head. I’ve been wanting to do more of this Life Story type of portraiture and was really happy as Kim embraced my ideas and sounded excited as well. Thank you for inviting me in to your home and life to portray your story. See the smile on this sweetie, I honestly think it’s the biggest smile I’ve ever seen on a baby this age. Adorable.
