Some families are just sweet and wonderful – this is one of them….

I was super excited to shoot the maternity portraits for Sarah and her family.  If you look at Sarah’s blog you’ll see why.  She has wonderful taste and her blog (Daffodil Designs) has so many great  designs, inspirations and arts & crafts.  You can visit it here.  You can also see her gorgeous nursery pictures there!

Our session was fun and Hannah is quite a little character!  She has much to teach her new baby sister.

After talking with Lindsie about her session I just knew I was in for a treat.  A farm with 2 boys, chickens, mules and tractors… fun!  The farm is nestled in the foothills just south of Calgary and the drive was amazing.  Green grass, beautiful hills, sunshine and open windows (into which a bee flew but that’s another story), it almost felt like a holiday for me and much more fun than driving through the city.

The session took much longer than usual because just as I was about to put my camera away the boys would do something cute again and I’d keep shooting.  I finally reluctantly took the lens off the camera and put it in to my bag because sometimes that is the only way I know how to quit.

Without a doubt one of the portraits that I receive the most comments on is one of this little guy.  It is a picture similar to the one here of Jack holding his parents hands.  The picture also graced the pages of  the magazine “birthing” last year. We had to do the same pose again to show just how big Jack has gotten in such a short time!  Only two years ago I did his baby portraits.  Isn’t he a handsome little guy?
