choose happiness | calgary photography
This morning when I woke up and looked out the window I was sad. I hoped to see the sun shining. Instead, it’s a dreary day which meant that our plans to go to the Lilac Festival changed. I know… we still could have gone but after spending a little more time outside in the rain this week than I would have liked to I opted to stay home. Our house is now slowly being cleaned (i just took a little break) and there is a roast in the oven making it smell yummy despite the fact that I’m not really a meat eater. I think I’ll go to yoga later too… so despite the fact that the day changed, it’s still a happy day.
Yesterday on my out to photograph Ivy (whom you’ll see on the blog in the next few days) I noticed that there were so many trees in bloom in Calgary. It’s beautiful! It’s my favorite time of year. You may have heard me say (or blog) in the past that the fall is my favorite time of year but somewhere along the road that changed. I’m not sure when it happened but spring is now officially my favorite. The smell of new buds on the trees, freshly mown grass, children playing outside, digging in the garden. It’s awesome.
Anyway – I couldn’t pass by the trees without stopping to take a few pictures so I thought I would share them with you on this dreary Sunday morning in Calgary….
