I thought it was only fitting, with all the cold and snow in Calgary, to post a photo from Ingrid and Freya’s newborn session today. These identical twin girls are six weeks old and crazy cute, sleepy and sweet.
I love creating memories that are in a special place. A place that has meaning. For Cassie and Ryan it’s their farm near Olds. A beautiful space with tons of trees, open fields, and a beautiful home just waiting for the love and laughter (and sleepless nights) that comes when a baby arrives. The cows even play a part because Ryan is a cattle auctioneer. 🙂
Little Madison is a tough nut to crack. Last time I did her photos she was pretty quiet and no matter what I tried I couldn’t get her to smile. This year… a totally different story thanks to her grandma! A totally different girl emerged, all smiles and giggles and playful. It’s amazing what a grandma can do for a grandchild. 🙂
The photos below are from their mini session a couple of weeks ago and there will be lots more posted in the next couple of weeks. I hope. I’m trying to get my act together and actually blog some of my photography. It’s not as easy as it may seem. If you’ve taken a blog vacation and then gotten right back to it I’d love to hear from you!
It’s that time of year again! Time to capture your wonderful family memories with the beautiful crisp air and colourful wonderfullness ( I dont’ think that’s a word but that’s okay) that is fall. And… you’ll have your photos done on time to send out for Christmas!
I have plans to shoot at Fish Creek, St. Patricks Island and East Village, Edworthy Park and Griffith Woods. There are choices of dates available rather than planning only one day of shooting unlike other years. 🙂 Keep in mind though that the leaves are already changing and it’s better to book sooner rather than later. The leaves are usually gone by the last week-end of September! Wasn’t it just last week that it was 30 degrees out there. Why does summer have to end so abruptly? It takes me by surprise every single year.
